SWPPP Inspections — Kansas City Metro BMP Installation & Maintenance NPDES & Stormwater Compliance Geology & HAZWOPER-Trained

SWPPP Inspections That Hold Up to Regulatory Review.

Weekly and post-rain compliance inspections, photographed and documented in a format that closes out cleanly — perimeter controls, inlet protection, stabilized entrances, slope stabilization, housekeeping, and corrective actions tracked from observation through completion.

The bridge between compliance and field execution — one experienced point of contact through final stabilization.

Field Execution, Documentation,
and Coordination.

We support contractors, developers, and commercial property owners across the Kansas City metro with SWPPP inspections, stormwater compliance, BMP installation and maintenance, erosion and sediment control, NPDES support, dewatering coordination, and environmental field documentation. Work is executed in the field, documented thoroughly, and managed in compliance with regulatory requirements — not just coordinated from a desk.

SWPPP & Stormwater

SWPPP Inspections & Stormwater Compliance

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan management for active construction sites and commercial operations across the Kansas City metro — including field inspection, documentation, and corrective action coordination before regulators get involved. Inspections meet weekly and qualifying-rain-event requirements; documentation is built to close out cleanly.

  • SWPPP plan review and field implementation
  • Weekly and post-rain compliance inspections
  • Inspection report preparation and recordkeeping
  • NPDES Construction General Permit support
  • Corrective action tracking and documentation
  • Regulator correspondence and NOV response
  • Final stabilization documentation
BMP & Erosion Control

BMP Installation, Maintenance & Erosion / Sediment Control

BMPs only work when installed correctly and maintained consistently. We install, inspect, repair, and document — with the equipment to do it efficiently in the field. Each control is positioned and constructed to function as designed, not just placed to check a box. We also address the underlying drainage and grading conditions that BMPs alone won't fix — see drainage & culvert work.

  • Silt fence — trenched, backfilled, and repaired correctly
  • Super silt fence and reinforced perimeter controls
  • Inlet protection installation and cleaning
  • Rock check dams and sediment traps
  • Erosion control blanket and straw wattle placement
  • Slope stabilization and seedbed prep
  • Stabilized construction entrances
  • Culvert extensions and riprap outlet aprons
  • BMP inspection and maintenance documentation
Documentation

Environmental Field Documentation & Reporting

Proper field documentation is the difference between a manageable compliance issue and an enforcement action. We photograph, log, and record environmental conditions in a format that holds up to regulatory review — because we've been on both sides of that conversation.

  • Field inspection reports
  • Photographic documentation and logs
  • Sample chain-of-custody support
  • Corrective action records
  • Site condition summaries
  • Regulatory submittal support
Dewatering

Dewatering Coordination & Field Support

Construction dewatering done wrong is a fast track to a discharge violation. We coordinate sediment-controlled dewatering — pump selection, settling and filtration, discharge point management, and inspection records — keeping discharge water within compliance limits and the regulator out of your inbox.

  • Dewatering plan review and BMP selection
  • Sediment bags, dewatering tanks, and filter setups
  • Discharge point stabilization
  • Turbidity awareness and visual monitoring
  • Field coordination with subs and pump vendors
  • Documentation supporting NPDES compliance
Sampling

Soil & Groundwater Sampling Support

Field support for soil and groundwater sampling programs — including sample collection logistics, equipment coordination, and documentation. Thousands of environmental samples collected across a wide range of site conditions and contaminant types.

  • Soil sampling field support
  • Groundwater monitoring well sampling
  • Sample documentation and chain-of-custody
  • Impacted soil identification and segregation
  • Excavation support and oversight
Remediation

Remediation Oversight & Coordination

We support remediation projects through field oversight, contractor coordination, and documentation management. Work is held to the standard the regulatory record requires — we know what properly executed remediation looks like, and we don't sign off on work that doesn't meet it. That protects clients from additional regulatory exposure and long-term cost.

  • Remediation contractor oversight
  • Impacted soil excavation coordination
  • Waste characterization and disposal support
  • Field progress documentation
  • Closure documentation support
Incident Response

Environmental Incident Response

When something goes wrong — a spill, a release, an unexpected discovery — the first response matters. We assess severity, determine what's actually needed, and coordinate the right team. We don't overreact, and we don't let clients underreact either.

  • Environmental incident assessment
  • Emergency vs. scheduled response evaluation
  • Contractor and vendor coordination
  • Regulator notification guidance
  • Documentation and communication management
  • Project management through resolution

Silt Fence, Wattles, Blankets, and Inlet Protection — Installed Correctly.

BMPs that aren't trenched, anchored, and positioned correctly are a regulatory finding waiting to happen. Every control we install is built to function under load — and is documented before, during, and after.

Environmental Response Coordination

We charge openly for coordination and project management — not hidden referral fees. You know what you're paying for and why. Every step is documented from first call through project close.

Assess the Situation

You describe the situation. We ask the right questions — scope, location, urgency, regulatory status — and give you an honest initial read based on direct field experience.

Determine the Right Response

We evaluate whether this needs emergency response, scheduled work, or just better documentation. Not every situation requires the most expensive answer — and we'll tell you which is which.

Execute and Coordinate

We help execute field work, coordinate contractors or vendors, and stay involved through completion — not just as advisors stepping back after the call.

Document and Close Out

Complete field documentation, regulatory communication records, and closeout notes — organized, defensible, and thorough from day one.

"We don't just advise — we help execute, document, and coordinate the right response in the field."

Environmental problems don't all require the same response. The right approach — assessed honestly, executed correctly, and documented completely — saves time, cost, and regulatory exposure. One experienced point of contact handles the process from initial assessment through project close.

SWPPP & Environmental FAQs

What is a SWPPP and when is it required?

A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is required under the EPA NPDES Construction General Permit for most construction sites disturbing one acre or more, and for smaller sites that are part of a larger common plan of development.

The plan documents how runoff and erosion will be controlled. It's paired with routine inspections, must be maintained on-site, and is updated as conditions change.

What does SWPPP management actually involve?

Reviewing and updating the written plan, performing routine compliance inspections (typically weekly and after qualifying rain events), documenting BMP condition with photos, tracking corrective actions, supporting NPDES permit requirements, and communicating with regulators when needed.

We handle all of the above as a single point of contact through final stabilization.

What BMPs do you install?

Silt fence, inlet protection, rock check dams, erosion control blankets, sediment basins and traps, riprap aprons, and culvert extensions. We install them per plan requirements, position and construct them to function correctly, and maintain or repair them on schedule.

We received a Notice of Violation. Can you help?

Yes. NOV response is direct experience. We assess the violation, identify what corrective action is actually required (versus what isn't), execute or coordinate the field work, document everything, and support communication with the regulator through resolution.

Call 913-732-0069 to discuss your specific situation.

Do you do Phase I Environmental Site Assessments?

Yes — Phase I ESAs in accordance with ASTM E1527 standards are part of the experience base. Reach out with project details and timeline; we'll let you know if the project is a fit and what scope makes sense.

What does environmental incident response cost?

Cost depends on severity, site conditions, regulatory exposure, and what response is actually required. We charge openly for coordination and project management — no hidden referral fees.

The first call is free. We'll give you an honest read on what's needed before any work or commitment.
